Give our pizzadilla recipe a whirl for a dinner that kids will adore or an appetizer that's perfect for parties. Packed with pizza sauce, spicy cheese, and pepperoni, it unites two beloved food types in one delightful dish: quesadillas and pizza!
Ingredients
½ cup pizza sauce
6 7-inch flour tortillas
2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeno peppers or Monterey Jack cheese (8 ounces)
⅓ cup finely chopped pepperoni
3 tablespoon sliced pitted ripe olives
Marinara sauce and/or ranch dressing (optional)
Directions
Distribute a portion of the pizza sauce on one half of each tortilla. Scatter Monterey Jack cheese over the pizza sauce on every tortilla, and then layer on the pepperoni and olives. Fold the tortillas into halves and lightly press the edges.
In a sizeable skillet or on a griddle, cook 2 or 3 tortillas at a time over medium heat for roughly 4 minutes, or until the cheese has melted, flipping once during the process.
Section each tortilla into three triangular pieces. If preferred, accompany with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping. This makes 9 appetizer-sized servings.
